Nanzenji has some gardens and a temple that you can visit, both for a fee. You can also climb up the sanmon! I really didn’t want to spend 1500 yen and do everything, but which to do? My new motto for travelling: “when in doubt, choose what is new,” so I chose the sanmon. The stairs are very steep, and also very thick.
